Should people boycott any TV show or movie with an amnesia plot?

I'm so sick of TV shows and movies using the least original thing in writing: the amnesia plot.



I think the Spiderman trilogy was ruined with Harry Osborn getting amnesia on the 3rd movie.



used to think Desperate House Wives had good plots until they used the amnesia plot with Mike Delfino.



I think people should stop watching any TV series that uses the amnesia plot, and I think no one should go watch a movie with an amnesia plot.

It is a lame plot twist. It's been overused and I've never met anybody with that condition or even heard of anybody with that condition.
